COVID-19: 3,499 new positive cases, 5 deaths recorded

The number of recovery cases was 3,515, bringing the cumulative number of cases recovered to 209,289 or 79.94 per cent.
KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 3,499 new positive cases of COVID-19 were recorded until 12 noon on February 13, bringing the cumulative total to 261,805 cases and 51,558 acurrent ctive cases.
Of the total, 3,498 were local cases with 1,871 being citizens and 1,627 non-citizens as well as one import case involving a non-citizen.
Selangor remained with the highest number of new positive cases by state with 1,345 cases and a total of 85,840 cases.
Five new deaths were also recorded, bringing the cumulative number of deaths to 958 or 0.37 per cent of the total cases.

Meanwhile, the number of recovery cases was 3,515, bringing the cumulative number of cases recovered to 209,289 or 79.94 per cent.
A total of 263 cases are receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with 118 receiving respiratory assistance.
