COVID-19 daily caseload in Malaysia continues to surge with 19,090 reported

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia reports a total of 19,090 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the national total to 2,975,422.
According to Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah on Twitter, only 113, or 0.59 pct, of the latest daily cases were in categories three four and five and required hospitalisation.
Meanwhile the remaining 18,977 cases, or 99.41 pct, in category one and two, were either asymptomatic or only had mild symptoms.
As of yesterday, about 99.2 pct or 23,208,714 of the adult population in the country have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
