KUALA LUMPUR: In addressing the issue of the COVID-19 pandemic and the question of the implementation of the emergency order, it should be referred to those who has expertise on the issue, said Pas President Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang.
He believes that it was very important that decisions were made wisely, based on real grounds, not through fragmentations of sources and views or just one aspect of the constitution, politics or economy, separately.

"Problems that occur must be referred to a real group of experts, such as the problem of fishermen should not be asked to agricultural experts.
"Therefore, the problem of COVID-19 transmission should be asked to medical, security and other relevant parties, not just politicians and constitutional legal experts," he said in a statement on his official Facebook page on Wednesday.
He stressed that the a group of experts must be consulted in finding a solution to a problem that occurs, and not based on the opinions and views of some parties only.
"Strictly speaking, in dealing with COVID-19, and the decision on whether an emergency needs to be implemented or not, do not ask only legal experts, politicians, economists, the military and the police.
"On the other hand, all parties concerned, including health experts, the police and the army, especially all those who are at the forefront in facing COVID-19, should be referred to.
“There are already among them who have been victims while carrying out their duties with the total number of cases not decreasing.
"Therefore, this matter must be given serious attention, to the extent of the actual development of the level of transmission that endangers the health of the people in terms of prevention, treatment and level of spread of this pandemic,” he said.
