COVID-19: Highest recovery cases, 2,464 new cases, seven deaths

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia recorded the highest number of recovery cases on Sunday with 4,525 cases, bringing the total number of cases recovered to 213,814.
Meanwhile, a total of 2,464 new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Sunday, bringing the total number of cases in the country to 264,269.
Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Noor Hisham Abdullah said of the total, three imported cases were reported to receive infection from abroad while the rest were local case infections.
"Active cases with COVID-19 infectivity are now 49,490 cases," he said in a statement on Sunday.
The MOH also announced an increase of seven new death cases, bringing the total to 965.
To date, a total of 260 cases are receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and of that number, 111 cases require respiratory assistance.
