COVID-19: Latest cases remain four digits, Selangor still highest

PUTRAJAYA: A total of 1,340 new COVID-19 cases were recorded in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 93,309.
Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, said out of the total, there were three cases of imports receiving infections from abroad.
"Active cases with COVID-19 infectivity are now at 15,563 cases," he said in a media statement on Sunday.
Selangor remains the highest state with 441 cases, followed by Kuala Lumpur (284) and Sabah (196).
Dr Noor Hisham said another four deaths were recorded due to COVID-19, bringing the total number of death cases to 437.
To date, there are 116 cases currently receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 57 of which requiring respiratory assistance.
Recovery cases from COVID-19 recorded an increase of 1,067 cases, bringing the cumulative number of cases recovered to 77,309.
