COVID-19: Malaysia records 4,427 recoveries, 3,346 new positive cases

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia reports 3,346 new positive COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
This increases the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country to 183, 801.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said only seven from today's new cases were imported while the remainder of 3, 339 were of local transmissions.
Selangor again recorded the highest number of cases with 950, followed by Sabah with 431, Kuala Lumpur with 390 and Johor with 378 cases.
Active cases with COVID-19 infectivity have soared to 41,677.
As of today, a total of 4,427 patients have recovered and were discharged, bringing the total number of recoveries to 141,446 cases.
The country has logged eleven more new deaths, bringing the country's death toll to 678.
Meanwhile, there are a total of 265 patients receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 102 of whom requiring respiratory assistance.
