COVID-19: Malaysia reports 589 new positive cases

KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 589 new COVID-19 cases were reported today, bringing the total number of positive COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 18,129 cases.
Director General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said, of the total, 453 cases were contagious in the country involving Malaysian citizens while another 133 were non-citizens.
The other three cases are import cases that have been infected from abroad, involving two cases from Indonesia and one case from Ukraine.
"Therefore, the number of active cases with COVID-19 infection is 5,945 cases and they have been isolated and given treatment," he said in a press conference on COVID-19 on Thursday.
