Today's COVID-19 single digit cases, with three new occurrences, involved only local transmissions.
The new cases recorded were among the lowest numbers after only two new cases on June 10 and no deaths were recorded, maintaining the death toll at 121.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the increase in new cases brought the total number of cumulative COVID-19 cases in Malaysia to 8,590 cases.
"Therefore, the total number of active and infectious COVID-19 cases is 283 cases. They have been isolated and treated.
"All the new cases reported are only domestic cases, namely, two non-citizens and one citizen while no import cases have been reported," he said in a statement today.
