COVID: M'sian visiting family member among 32 new cases in S'pore Saturday

SINGAPORE: A 53-year old Malaysian man was among 32 COVID-19 new cases reported in Singapore on Saturday, said the republic's Ministry of Health.
Labelled as Case 61808, the man arrived from Malaysia to visit a family member who is a Singapore Permanent Resident, said the ministry in its full data released here late last night.
Categorised under imported cases, the Malaysian holds a Short-Term Visit Pass and is asymptomatic.
As of noon Saturday, Singapore reported 32 new cases, of which, 31 were imported while one was a case in the community, bringing the total number of infections here to 60,633.
The ministry has so far classified 3,789 of the reported cases as imported, 2,333 as community cases and 54,511 involving dormitory residents.

In all, 60,322 have fully recovered from the infection and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.
There are currently 45 confirmed cases who are still in hospital with one in critical condition in the intensive care unit.
A total of 236 people who have mild symptoms or are clinically well but still tested positive for COVID-19 have been isolated and are being cared for at community care facilities.
In total, 30 people have died in the country from complications due to COVID-19 infection.
Singapore has no COVID-19 cluster at the moment.
