COVID: New cases hit all-time high of 9,020 - Health DG
New COVID-19 cases breached the 9,000 mark for the first time at 9,020 today, the highest since the pandemic hit Malaysia in January last year, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah. -- BERNAMA filepic
KUALA LUMPUR: New COVID-19 cases breached the 9,000 mark for the first time at 9,020 today, the highest since the pandemic hit Malaysia in January last year, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
According to his Twitter posting, this brings the cumulative figure for positive COVID-19 cases to 558,534.
Selangor continued to top the daily case list with 2,836 cases, followed by Kelantan with 907, Negeri Sembilan (898), Kuala Lumpur (789) and Sarawak (726).
Johor and Kedah recorded 468 cases each, followed by Penang (345), Melaka (340), Perak (272), Sabah (265), Labuan (253), Pahang (216), Terengganu (189), Putrajaya (29) and Perlis (19).
