COVID: Terengganu opens 72 PPVs for booster dose

KUALA TERENGGANU: A total of 72 COVID-19 vaccination centres (PPV) have been opened in all eight districts statewide to further increase the capacity of administering booster shots in the state.
State Health Department director, Datuk Dr Kasemani Embong said of the total, 24 PPVs are government health clinics, private clinics (39), private hospitals (two) and seven off-site PPVs.
"The four off-site PPVs that have been operating are at the Hiliran People's Housing Project (PPR) Multipurpose Hall, Kuala Terengganu; Dewan Sivik Bijangga, Dungun; Dewan Gong Kemuntong, Besut and Rimba Square in Kuala Nerus.
"Beginning today, three more off-site PPVs will begin operation, namely at the Dewan Serbaguna Tepoh, Kuala Nerus; Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Polytechnic hall in Dungun and Padang Laban shoplots, Bukit Payong in Marang," she said in a statement today.
Thus far, 179,300 individuals or 24.9 per cent of the state's total population have received their booster doses.
