COVID: Two more deaths reported in Sarawak

KUCHING: Two more deaths due to COVID-19 were reported in Sarawak today, bringing the death toll in the state to 67.
State Disaster Management Committee in a statement said the number of active COVID-19 active cases in the state now stood at 7,425 after 200 new positive cases were reported today.
“The 66th death involves a local woman, aged 72, who was admitted to the Sibu Hospital after having fever, coughing and breathing difficulties. She was tested positive on Feb 6 and died on Feb 17.
“The 67th death involves a local man, aged 66, who was also admitted to Sibu Hospital for having breathing difficulties. He was tested positive on Feb 8 and died on Feb Feb 17. This case is from the Pasai Cluster,” the statement said, adding that 22 clusters are still deemed active in Sarawak.
