COVID-19: 88 cases recovered, 36 new cases and no deaths

The Ministry of Health (MOH) has announced that 88 cases have recovered and allowed to be discharged on Friday, bringing the total cumulative recovery cases to 5,439 or 79.3 per cent of the total cases.
According to Director-General of Health, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the ministry had also identified 36 new cases of COVID-19 in the country.
Of these, 28 cases were among non-Malaysian citizens.
"Thus, the number of COVID-19 positive cases in Malaysia is 6,855 cases and the number of active cases with COVID-19 infectivity is 1,304 cases," he said at a daily press conference here today.
According to Dr Noor Hisham, out of these, five positive cases of COVID-19 are being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), while four cases require respiratory assistance.
In the same development, he informed that there has been no increase in the number of deaths, leaving the death toll at 112 cases, or 1.63 per cent of the total number of cases.
