COVID-19: Malaysia records 4,446 new cases, Selangor tops with 1,650

KUALA LUMPUR: The Health Ministry announced today another 4,446 new COVID-19 infections overnight reported in Malaysia, raising the total cumulative cases to 474,556 since the pandemic hit the country.
On the state level, Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Selangor continues to top the list with the highest number of new COVID-19 infections reported in the last 24 hours.
Of the 4,446 Covid-19 cases, 1,650 were reported in Selangor, while Sarawak recorded the second highest number with 433 cases, followed by Johor with 391 and Kelantan with 343 cases.
There are 236 Covid-19 cases in Kedah, 159 in Penang, 203 in Perak, 297 in Kuala Lumpur, 11 in Putrajaya, 80 in Melaka, 243 in Negri Sembilan,139 in Pahang and Sabah with 60 cases.
Terengganu set a new record by logging 201 new cases, whilst no cases recorded in Perlis and Labuan.
