SINGAPORE: A 51-year old Malaysian man was among six new COVID-19 imported cases reported in Singapore on Wednesday, according to the republic's Ministry of Health.
The ministry said that he is a sea crew member who arrived from Malaysia on a vessel, and was tested onboard without disembarking.
The Short-Term Visit Pass holder was asymptomatic, it said in its full data released here late last night.
The other imported cases were from India, Indonesia, Japan and Sri Lanka.
They were among the seven cases recorded in Singapore on Wednesday with the other case being a community infection, thus bringing the total number of infections here to 59,890.
Thus far, the ministry has classified 3,056 of the reported cases as imported, 2,323 as community cases and 54,511 involving dorm residents.
