COVID-19: MOH traces 11 new clusters, Selangor remains with highest case
Dr Noor Hisham said out of the total, seven involved work-related clusters and two each involved communities and high-risk groups, bringing the total number of active clusters to date to 466.
KUALA LUMPUR:The Ministry of Health (MOH) has traced 11 more new clusters of COVID-19 infection, bringing the total to 931 clusters.
Director-General of Health, Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, said out of the total, seven involved work-related clusters and two each involved communities and high-risk groups.
He said the total number of active clusters was 466.
"The total number of clusters that have been completed is 465 clusters (including four clusters that ended today, namely Jalan Genting Cluster, Harum Cluster, Medan Idaman Cluster and Wakaf Lanas Cluster.
"Clusters with the highest number of new cases today are Tanjung Suria Cluster (356 cases), Persiaran Perkilangan Cluster (319 cases), and Jalan Cochrane Cluster (104 cases)," he said in a statement here, on Wednesday.
Here are the 11 new clusters: 1. Industri Wawasan, Selangor; 2. Batu 20 Selangor, Selangor; 3. Tapak Bina Persiaran Sepang, Selangor; 4. Tapak Bina Jalan Tandok, Kuala Lumpur; 5. Jalan Dua Belas, Kuala Lumpur; 6. Jalan Tiga KKIP, Sabah; 7. Jalan Uda Utama, Johor; 8. Jalan Kancil Waha, Johor; 9. Lorong Sahabat, Johor; 10. Lorong Bersatu Damai, Sabah; and 11. Jalan Harun, Kuala Lumpur.
Meanwhile, Dr Noor Hisham said, Selangor remains the state with the highest new daily cases with 1,757 (53.4 per cent).
Of the total, he said, 1,552 cases (88.3 per cent) were from clusters and COVID-19 close contact screening that was actively conducted in the field.
