COVID-19: Viral WhatsApp info inaccurate - MoH
The CPRC also found the information in the viral message misleading.
KUALA LUMPUR:The Ministry of Health (MoH) on Sunday said the information in an attachment entitled "Kes Covid dikesan dalam tempoh 14 hari" (COVID case detected within 14 days) that is making its rounds on WhatsApp was inaccurate.
MoH, in a Facebook post, said the Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) also found the information misleading.
"The amount of cases reported actually covers a one kilometre radius for a period of 14 days and not in the areas shown in the graphics.
"Stop sharing this inaccurate graphic. Use the hotspot tracker found in the MySejahtera application to plan your travels and always comply with the SOP (standard operating procedures)," said the MOH.
