A detailed report on the Malaysian hajj pilgrims who were killed and injured in the crane tragedy at the Grand Mosque, in Makkah on Sept 11, is expected to be completed by end of the month.
Tabung Haji chairman Datuk Seri Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim said Tabung Haji would collect all information, including medical reports of the 11 injured pilgrims before handing over to the Saudi Arabian Embassy, here for confirmation and compensation purposes.
"All of these need to be refined according to the procedures set by the Saudi Arabian government," he told reporters after visiting Mohd Nor Azman Hassan, one of the injured pilgrims, at Bandar Tun Hussein.
Mohd Nor Azman, 44, sustained three broken ribs and fractured his right shoulder while seven Malaysian pilgrims were killed in the incident.
Abdul Azeez said the report would be completed after all Malaysian pilgrims have returned home with the last Haj flight arriving here on Oct 28.
The Saudi Arabian government had announced compensation of Saudi Riyal (SR) 1 million (RM1.3 million) to be paid to each victim's family and SR500,000 (RM650,000) for each of the injured pilgrims.
