The Congress of Union of Employees in the Public and Civil Services (Cuepacs) has urged the government to lift the ban on recruitment to public posts and promotions immediately.
Cuepacs president Datuk Azih Muda said this was because of the improving national economy from the jump in oil price to US$50 from US$35 a barrel recently.
He said the Treasury Circular must be withdrawn so that the rationalisation of 252 public service schemes under the improved Malaysian Renumeration System, to be enforced on July 1, could be implemented.
