The Congress of Unions for Employees in the Public and Civil Service (Cuepacs) will not compromise with civil servants who are involved in negative actions, such as participating in the Daesh (Islamic State) militant group.
Its president, Datuk Azih Muda, said Cuepacs had repeatedly warned and reminded civil servants not to be easily influenced by the ideology of certain quarters to the extent of exposing government's secrets.
He said this was because there were civil servants who were willing to quit their jobs after being influenced by the negative ideology.
The threats may be small, but if not controlled, their children and parents may also get involved too, he told reporters here, on Thursday.
He said children of civil servants, especially those in universities, were also vulnerable to foreign elements that could stir up trouble in the country.
"These children are young in mind, body and soul. They have yet to be able to think of the consequences of their actions, and before anything bad happened, Cuepacs would like to remind civil servants not to get involved in actions that can destroy them and their families," he added.
