A Perodua Kelisa car belonging to a senior customs officer was set ablaze, believed to be by molotov cocktail, at Taman Bukit Indah on Wednesday.
Roslan Ahmad, 56, said he was alerted about it about 5am when a neighbour, who saw the car on fire, telephoned him at about 5 am.
"When I came out of the house, I saw the car on fire and, with the help of my son, doused the flame.
"Luckily, the fire did not spread to the house and another car, which was parked nearby," he told reporters when met at his house.
Roslan, who is with the Bukit Kayu Hitam Customs, believed that it was the work of quarters who were not happy with him.
In 2010, random shots were fired at his house, he added.
Meanwhile, Kubang Pasu district police chief Supt Abd Rahim Abdullah, when contacted, confirmed the incident.
