Cyber cafe staff shot four times

A cyber cafe staff was shot four times when he attempted to stop a fight involving a group of men at Jalan Johar 4, Taman Desa Cemerlang, on Saturday.

Met at the Johor Specialist Hospital, Intensive Care Unit today, the victim Lew Wek Shu, 37, said he was working at the time (10.15 pm), when he heard an argument going on for about half an hour.

"I tried to stop the fight but was scolded by them. When I turned to return to my place I heard the shots, and four of them hit me on my back, shoulder, stomach and arm," he said.

Johor Criminal Investigation Department deputy chief, Asst Comm Nor Azizan Anan said 10 shots were fired at random by one of the men during the incident, with four of them hitting the victim.

No arrests have been made so far, he added.
