Cyberjaya will have government hospital by 2018
A government hospital costing RM500 million will be built in the vicinity of Autoville, Cyberjaya within the next two years, says Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah.
A government hospital costing RM500 million will be built in the vicinity of Autoville here within the next two years, Treasury secretary-general Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah said.
He said the bidding documents for the project were being prepared by Cyberview Sdn Bhd, a government-owned company spearheading the development of Cyberjaya.
The selection of the contractor is expected to be completed in three months' time, he told reporters after opening a TSI synthetic football field, Wednesday.
He said the hospital spanning over 4.86 hectares would help reduce the congestion at public hospitals in Putrajaya and Serdang and benefit residents in Cyberjaya as well as those in Puchong, Dengkil and Sepang.
On the football pitch, Mohd Irwan Serigar said it was the first synthetic football field built the Ministry of Finance in Cyberjaya and the 19th in the country.
"The ministry plans to build 30 synthetic football fields costing about RM4 million each throughout the country by next year in an effort to attract more young people to play football and help raise our football standards," he said.
