'Datuk' government officer remanded for 4 days

A government officer with a 'Datuk' title has been remanded for four days to assist in investigations into a corruption case involving local authority projects here.
The remand order effective today on the man aged 55, was issued by the Ayer Keroh magistrate's court.
The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission detained the suspect yesterday around 2pm and also frozen his bank account which allegedly contained millions of ringgit. -- Bernama
