Daughters hopeful missing mother will be found safe
In this image released by the Saudi Interior Ministry's General Directorate of Civil Defense, a collapsed crane and emergency services vehicles are seen near the Masjid Al-Haram in Makkah on Sept 11, 2015.
The family of Rusiah Suar, 56, one of the eight Malaysian pilgrims missing following the Makkah crane collapse tragedy, is hopeful that the mother of four will be found safe soon.
Rusiah's daughter Nor Haizan Ahmad Badri, 34, said Tabung Haji contacted her yesterday evening about her missing mother.
"I know about the tragedy after watching the news. I then tried to contact her several times but no answer," she said when met at her house at Felda Gunung Besout 2 here Saturday.
Nor Haizan said she contacted her mother every day since she arrived at the Holy Land.
"The last time we talked was on Thursday. Now we are just waiting for calls from Tabung Haji for the latest information," she said.
Meanwhile, her little sister, Nor Baizura, 27, said she hoped her mother would be found safe.
"It's very sad because we don't not know her condition and we pray that everyone is safe," she said.
The tragedy that occurred at the Masjid al-Haram on Friday, claimed the lives of over 100 pilgrims and injuring hundreds of others, including 10 Malaysians.
