The torso of a man, whose body is believed to have been cut in two and stuffed into a sack, was found in a forest area near a rubber plantation in Sungai Tamu, Batang Kali, today.
Hulu Selangor Police Chief Supt Shukri Yaacob said the man, whose body was missing from the stomach down, was believed to have been killed more than 24 hours ago.
He said the discovery was made by a passerby who was searching for frogs in the area at about 2.10pm.
"No identification documents were found on the body and he is believed to be a foreigner.
"We believe the man, believed to be in his 30s, was murdered and cut in two before the torso was stuffed in a straw sack and disposed in this area," he told Bernama today.
"We found a meat cleaver, nylon string and signs of burning about 50 metres from where the body was found.
The case has been classified as murder and the torso has been sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital for post-mortem.
