Death threat against IGP, Sebastian being hunted - Bukit Aman

KUALA LUMPUR: Police are on the hunt for a man known as Sebastian who threatened to shoot dead the Inspector-General of Police, Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador.
Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department director Datuk Huzir Mohamed said his department had opened an investigation paper on the case and was tracking down the suspect.
He said the investigation was conducted in accordance with Section 507 of the Penal Code, Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998 and Section 41 of the Sedition Act.
"We have opened an investigation paper. Among them is the statement insulting the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on November 13 and threats against the Inspector-General of Police yesterday," he said here today.
He said, although some people claimed that the suspect was insane, the police would still track him down for further investigation.
Yesterday, the media reported that a man who claimed to be the commander of the Tamil Eelam Liberation Tigers (LTTE) 2.0 terrorist group threatened to attack the Bukit Aman Police Headquarters and the Ministry of Defence (MINDEF).
The individual who sent his threats via email to the media also claimed that he would attack Sri Lanka after the attack.
He also claimed that he would shoot dead Abdul Hamid.
