Deceased Hajj pilgrim's family get aid from PM, Tabung Haji

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak on Thursday gave a personal donation of RM10,000 to the family of Kamaruddin Ab Rahman, 43, who was among the three haj pilgrims killed in a road crash at KM 210.2 of the
East Coast Highway Wednesday.
The contribution was handed to Kamaruddin's family by the Pilgrims Fund Board (Tabung Haji) chairman Datuk Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahim who visited the family Thursday.
Besides the prime minister's personal donation, Abdul Azeez also presented Tabung Haji aid of RM3,000 to Kamaruddin's widow, Tuan Mazlinawati Tuan Abdullah, 40.
Earlier, Abdul Azeez was at the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital (HTAA) to visit and present contribution to Rakiah Ibrahim, 63, who was injured in the crash.
Three haj pilgrims died on the spot and three others were injured when the van they were traveling in crashed into the back of an iron ore laden lorry at KM210.2 of the East Coast Highway heading towards Kuantan here at about 3.40am Wednesday.
Besides Kamarudin, the two other haj pilgrims killed in the crash were Zainab Awang, 59, and Fatimah Said, 63.
