Deep sea cleaning programme in Sabah

A total of 139 local and international divers are expected to be part of the longest deep sea cleaning programme for 168 hours at the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine, Sabah.
Organised by Astro, the first of its kind challenge will start tomorrow (Saturday) until April 13, in an effort to create a new record in the Guinness World Records.
The programme is part of Astro’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
This programme will be held for seven days, non-stop, whereby 14 diving sites will be cleaned at Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine for 168 hours.
The objective of this programme is to create the awareness on marine conservation, which habitat of many sea creatures.
Astro Kasih Malaysia Beautiful Programme is organized for the second time in Sabah after the success of Astro Kasih programme, where a total of 777 corals were relocated from Tun Sakaran Marine, Semporna on 2011.
The relocation programme made it into the Malaysia Book of Records for most of the corals relocated.
