PUTRAJAYA:Standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to the upcoming Deepavali celebrations will be announced no later than Friday.

Senior Minister (Defence Cluster), Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said, this is because, the matter would be discussed this week before any decision is made.

"We have another two weeks before the Deepavali celebrations and this week we will present.

"Before the end of this week we will make a decision and announce it," he said in a press conference here on Tuesday.

In the meantime, Ismail Sabri said the 'weekend' husband or wife is allowed to travel across districts and states during the Conditional Movement Control Order (PKPB) in the Klang Valley.

However, he said, the matter needs to get approval from the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM).

"The CMCO SOP introduced is the same as we implemented last May and for the 'weekend husband' to meet with his wife or family is indeed allowed in the SOP.

"But before returning, they need to get a letter of permission from the police by submitting evidence and so on," he said.
