Defence Attache at Malaysian embassy in Indonesia dies

The Defence Attache at the Malaysian Embassy in Indonesia, Brig Gen Datuk Jalaludin Md Yusof died after collapsing at the main hall of the Malaysian Embassy in Kuningan, here Wednesday night.
Malaysia's Ambassador to Indonesia Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim said, Jalaludin, 57, was confirmed dead at 8pm at the MMC Hospital in Kuningan, here.
Earlier, he had collapsed while walking out after a buka puasa do organised by the Embassy.
During the incident, his wife, Datin Sadaah Mohamad was in the hall and had accompanied her husband to the hospital.
The buka puasa was attended by Zahrain and more than 100 employees at the embassy, attaches, heads of departments, students as well as Malaysian nationals residing in Jakarta.
Zahrain said, Jalaludin was subsequently rushed to the hospital and upon arrival, the medical team confirmed that he had died.
His remains would be brought home on a C130 aircraft of the Royal Malaysian Air Force at 8am local time.
Zahrain said the Malaysian Embassy was assisting in handling Jalaludin's remains which would be laid to rest at his hometown in Terendak, Malacca.
