Deny elements out to exploit peace - Hishammuddin

"Do not give any room to those trying to destroy harmony.

"If we allow that to happen, these irresponsible people will exploit the situation. Then it will be difficult for us to recover," he said when approached at the Aidilfitri Open House of the Prime Minister and Cabinet Ministers here.

Hishammuddin, who is also Minister with Special Functions in the Prime Minister's Department, advised the people from all walks of life and communities to enjoy the peace that was being maintained, especially in celebrating festivals like Aidilfitri.

"I am touched that in a world full of disunity, our diversity is a source of our strength.

"This goes to show that the people are on track to safeguarding what we have achieved," he said.
