Deputy Youth and Sports Minister, Datuk M. Saravanan has denied the allegation about his involvement in an assault on a general manager of a media organisation this evening.
He claims his presence at the Tamil media organisation was to break an argument.
"I was at the MIC office and was told that there was a fight nearby.
"I went there to try and help talk things out," he said when contacted by Astro AWANI.
The argument apparently stemmed from a report made by the media organisation, regarding rental issues on a property owned by the Federal Territory MIC.
Saravanan denied the allegations, adding that it was a baseless claim to tarnish his reputation.
A police report on the incident has been made.
