Sentul police chief ACP Zakaria Pagan said after finding Mogan unconscious, the police called for a Selayang Hospital paramedic team which later pronounced him dead.
He said an autopsy at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital revealed that the man, who had eight criminal records, succumbed to a viral infection.
"We are awaiting confirmation (into the death based) on laboratory tests.
However, initial investigations have revealed no criminal element (leading to the death).
"An examination on the body found no external injury," Zakaria said in a statement, Wednesday.
