Developments on wrecked boat in Sarawak.
The search and rescue operation on the wrecked boat in Sungai Ranjang which continued at seven this morning, found the body of its first victim. The body of the 44-year-old man was listed as one of the passenger of 'Kawan Mas' express boat. Belaga District Police Chief DSP Bakar Sebau said the body of Tujok Lah was found by the Uma Tebok, Long Buyun longhouse residents, not far from the location. He said the body would be taken to the Belaga Bazaar. The search and rescue operation will focus on lifting the boat for easy movement ofthe search. The search was stopped at 5.15 pm on Wednesday following a swift flow and the failure to raise the express boat. Police also confirmed that, 12 victims are still missing and 186 survived the incident.
