The first Meeting of the Third Session of the 13th Parliament, which sat for 20 days beginning on March 9, was adjourned sine die at 4.25am today after the longest sitting in a day in the history of the Dewan Rakyat.
The last day of the sitting of this session started Thursday morning.
During the sitting, the Dewan Rakyat approved 12 bills comprising six new bills and six amendment bills.
The new bills included the Technologists and Technicians Bill 2014; Prevention of Terrorism Bill (POTA) 2015; Special Measures Against Terrorism in Foreign Countries Bill 2015.

Also passed were the Malaysian Aviation Bill 2015; Public Sector Home Financing Board Bill 2015 and the Supplementary Supply Bill (2014) 2015).
The amendment bills passed were Prisons Act (Amendment) Bill 2015; Security Offences (Special Measures)(Amendment) Bill 2015; Prevention of Crime (Amendment) Bill 2015; Securities Commission Bill 2015); Sedition (Amendment) Bill 2015 and Members of Parliament (Remuneration) (Amendment) Bill 2014.

Eight other bills tabled for first reading and second reading during the session were adjourned to the next sitting.
The Bills are the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 (Amendment) 2014); Criminal Procedure Code (Amendment) 2015 Bill; Evidence (Amendment) Bill 2015 and Capital Markets and Services (Amendment) Bill 2015
The other Bills are Retirement Fund (Amendment) Bill 2015); Anti-Trafficking in Persons and Anti-Smuggling of Migrants (Amendment) Bill 2015; Chemist (Amendment) Bill 2015 and the Animal Welfare Bill 2015.
