Dewan Rakyat to debate motion on Sabah abduction

The Dewan Rakyat is to debate later today a motion on the abduction of two women, one of them a Chinese tourist, in Sabah last Wednesday, said Deputy Speaker Datuk Ronald Kiandee.

He said the debate would take place for 30 minutes from 4.30pm and 30 minutes more would be given for the government to reply.

The motion for the debate was tabled by Wong Tien Fatt alias Wong Nyuk Foh (DAP-Sandakan).

A group of seven armed men abducted the Chinese tourist, Gao Hua Yuan, 29, and a Filipina resort worker, Marcy Dayawan, 40, at 10.30 pm last Wednesday from the Singamata Adventures and Reef Resort in Semporna.
