Dior Cruise 2016 Runway Show

Le Palais Bulles is a utopian project that embraces earth, sky and sea, where the future is built naturally from the forms and construction of the past. Pierre Cardin’s prominent Palais Bulles (Bubble Palace) is located just outside Cannes and the collection blends impeccable craftsmanship with space-age design. Raf Simons took a classical, slightly restrained approach featuring more thigh-skimming hemlines, pointed shoes, checks and A-line silhouettes instead of a more futuristic slant. The maritime influences are prominent as seen with the dresses that had a netting overlay or pieces formed with structured nets. Another unique touch were the mismatched dangling earrings that gave the collection a sense of brazenness.

Safe to say, Dior knows how to bring the fashion show drama, and Dior Cruise 2016, set in the South of France is just as picturesque as the best of them.
