The operation of dirty food stalls at Ramadhan Bazaars in the city would be terminated immediately said Federal Territories Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.

Tengku Adnan said food stall operators who employ foreign workers must also ensure their workers have a clean bill of health, certified by health authorities, failing which action would be taken against them by the City Hall''s (DBKL) Health and Environment Department.

"I have already issued a warning to owners of premises to ensure cleanliness is given priority, especially stalls that sell food or drinks because it involves the health of the visitors and customers," he told reporters after opening the Bandar Tun Razak Nur Ramadan 2017 Programme, here on Wednesday.

He was commenting on a DBKL report that the Kampung Baru Ramadhan Bazaar was categorised as worst sites in terms of cleanliness .

Speaking of the Nur Ramadan,Programme, Tengku Adnan said about 9,000 needy people from 13 Parliamentary constituencies in Federal Territory would receive a total of RM1.35 million as aid while mosques and Surau will receive RM30,000 for upgrading facilities.
