Abdul Rahim said disciplinary action on policemen who conducted unauthorised search on foreigners.
Disciplinary action will be taken against the five policemen who were caught conducting unauthorised search on foreigners in the Dang Wangi area recently, Bukit Aman Integrity and Standard Compliance Department head Datuk Seri Abdul Rahim Hanafi said today.
He said members of the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) had been warned on numerous occasions that inspection on foreign citizens should be carried out with the Immigration Department.
"We will take action against them for breaching the stipulated Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)," he said when contacted by Bernama.
Meanwhile, Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said PDRM would not compromise with policemen who conducted inspection on foreigners without authority.
"We will not compromise and will take stern action against policemen, regardless of their rank, if found committing the offence," he said.
