It is not surprising for disputes and arguments over seat allocations to arise amongst the DAP, PKR, PAN and Parti Bumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM), says Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Dr Shahidan Kassim.
He said it was clear from the memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed by them that they could not trust one another.
"That is why the alliance opted for an MoU rather than an agreement with clear guidelines on their cooperation.
"An MoU like this can be signed by anyone, and it is not a concrete thing," said the state Umno liaison chief during a press conference here Saturday.
He said the action proved that the alliance formed among the parties was not strong and had an uncertain future.
Shahidan was commenting on a news report by Utusan Malaysia yesterday, that there was a possibility of seat tussle as Selangor PKR would not allow PPBM and PAN to contest in Selangor and Penang. -- Bernama
