DNA results on Tapah murder victims out in two weeks to a month

Perak CID chief, ACP Goh Kok Liang said several samples of bones and teeth believed to belong to the gruesome murder victims, had been sent to the Chemistry Department on Friday for post-mortem and DNA analysis.

He said the blood samples of family members of all victims had been taken for DNA matching at Tapah Hospital last Monday.

"Meanwhile, the remand for the family of four is expected to be extended when their detention ends on Thursday," he said when contacted today.

Before this, all the suspects were remanded for another seven days for allegedly murdering a 54-year-old vehicle spare parts salesman who was reported missing on June 15, 2014.

The shocking murders of at least four individuals were discovered after police raided a heavy vehicle workshop in Jalan Pahang, here, on Oct 26 after receiving information on a 46-year-old victim who was reported missing by his family members on Aug 25.

The victims comprised a 46-year-old farmer and land broker who was reported missing on Aug 25, a woman tour bus operator, aged 56, (missing on March 1, 2014), a spare parts salesman, 54, (missing on June 15, 2014) and a 36-year-old workshop employee (missing on Oct 30, 2012).
