UMNO should not be blamed for any issues brought up during the the Teluk Intan by-election campaigning process, said UMNO Wanita chief, Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil.
“Don’t point fingers and blame UMNO. Remember, sometimes ‘a wolf in a sheep’s clothing’ is more dangerous compared to other enemies. So don’t always say that it is caused by BN. We are not even interested,” said Shahrizat in Teluk Intan, today, as reported by UMNO Online.
The Barisan Nasional (BN) Wanita chief said that the party was not interested in dirty politics including racial politics. Instead they (UMNO) are concentrating on helping the people.
Shahrizat also added that whatever is said should be followed by action in order to protect the people’s interest.
“The Wanita machinery is doing well and our campaign is sincere. What we say, we do. We do not practice much politics especially racial politics or others. We are not interested.
“We are sincere in helping the people and we wish to see a stabile country. We do not practise dirty politics by approaching the Malays and saying that the Indian community is as such and the Chinese community is as such and others. What kind of politics are those? I do not agree with such politics,” said Shahrizat.
