"Don't listen to nonsense. There is too much nonsense on social media. Don't listen to it all," he told the public after breaking fast at the Nur Ramadan
"We will ensure that the truth will emerge in the end," he said in his speech.
Najib also believed that the National Audit Department's report on 1Malaysia Development Bhd (1MDB) will clear the accusations levelled against him.
"We will wait for the report and we will find out the truth," he said.
He said as the prime minister, he will not take what belongs to the people.
Last week, The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) published a report alleging the 1MDB funds were channeled to Najib's personal accounts.
Following the report, a special task force made up of the Royal Malaysian Police, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) and the Attorney-General’s Chambers (AGC).
Yesterday, several officials of the task force came to the 1MDB office, located on the eighth floor of Menara IMC, at 10.30 am and were seen leaving at about 6.30 pm.
About 20 boxes of what is believed to be documents were taken away in a police truck.
