Former UMNO Youth exco member Tun Fasal Ismail Aziz has been advised to not question Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad who has been raising the issue of 1MDB’s financial affairs.

Former UMNO Batu Kawan deputy chief Datuk Seri Khairuddin Abu Hassan said Tun Faisal’s action smacks of arrogance and questions why he is trying to become a hero in the issue.

“Dr Mahathir is questioning the prime minister on 1MDB and why is Tun Faisal trying to become a hero in a matter he himself does not understand?,” he questions.

“Tun Faisal is not of the same level with Dr Mahathir. I hope Tun Faisal will organise a forum on 1MDB and invite me so that we can debate about this matter,” he said.

Tun Faisal in his blog had said that Dr Mahathir has failed to explain the real issues and facts behind 1MDB.

Moving on to the 1MDB, Khairuddin said he had raised a total of 13 questions in his police report on the company’s financial status but until now, answers were not forthcoming.

“The truth is, 1MDB has never given concrete answers but they have always confused the people with too basic answers,” he said.

Khairuddin had before this said Dr Mahathir is a leader who cannot be easily be influenced by any individual or political party.

He said Dr Mahathir’s vast political experiences were enough to help the former premier to understand UMNO’s future and perspective without help or influence from anyone.
