Don't be influenced by IS, people of Perlis reminded

The Raja of Perlis Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail reminded the people of Perlis not to be infuenced by the adverse ideology of the so called Islamic State (IS).

He said the ideology not only brought bad tidings to society but would also compromise national security.

"I urge parents to keep an eye on their family members against being involved or duped by propaganda which misuse the concept of jihad in Islam," he said at the opening the 'Majlis Sentuhanan Kasih DiRaja' in conjunction with his 72nd birthday, here, Sunday.

Also present was the Raja Perempuan of Perlis Tuanku Fauziah Tengku Abdul Rashid, Raja Muda Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and Raja Puan Muda Perlis Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil.

Others present were Perlis Menteri Besar Perlis Datuk Seri Azlan Man, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Shahidan Kasim and Malaysian Armed Forces chief Gen Tan Sri Zulkifeli Mohd Zin.
