Among the dead were the driver of the bus, Zakeer Zubir and his daughter Nur Natasya Zahara Zakeer, 1 while 16 others were injured. -Bernamapix
Police confirmed that 14 passengers who died in the express bus tragedy at Km137.3 along the North South Expressway near Kampung Jayo, Pagoh this morning comprised 10 women and four men.
According to Muar Traffic and Public Order chief ASP Suhaimi Ahmad, of the 14 who died, 12 were from Malaysia (four men, eight women) while two others, both women, were from Singapore.
In the 3.25am incident, an express bus that was heading to Kuala Lumpur from Johor Bahru, lost control and plunged into a 10m ravine and crashed into a concrete wall.
Among the dead were the driver of the bus, Zakeer Zubir and his daughter Nur Natasya Zahara Zakeer, 1 while 16 others were injured. -- BERNAMA
