Drop in number of flood victims in Kelantan

The number of flood victims in Kelantan dropped to 355 people at noon, from 360 people this morning.

They are at 11 evacuation centres in the Kuala Krai, Gua Musang, Pasir Puteh and Tanah Merah districts.

According to the Social Welfare Department's inforbanjir application, most of the victims, involving 239 people from 59 families, are in the Kuala Krai district where they are being accommodated at seven evacuation centres.

In Gua Musang, there are 78 victims (19 families) at two centres, while in Pasir Puteh and Tanah Merah, each with one centre opened, has 25 victims (five families) and 13 victims (three families), respectively.

Meanwhile, the state government's portal, ebanjir.kelantan.gov.my, states that the water level in Sungai Kelantan at the Krai Steps, Kuala Krai, rises slightly to 25.35 metres, from 25.3 metres in the morning. The danger level is 25 metres.

The water level in Sungai Golok, Rantau Panjang, also rises slightly to 9.45 metres, from 9.42 metres in the morning. The danger level is 9 metres.
