Drug addict falls to her death while trying to escape from police

A 53-year-old, Kwan Choi Leng, believed to be a drug addict, died after falling from her fifth floor Melati apartment balcony at Jalan Loke Yew, while trying to escape a police dragnet, yesterday. "Initial investigations revealed that the victim fell onto the tarmac while trying to flee from the police," said Dang Wangi police chief ACP Zainuddin Ahmad when contacted by Bernama, here, today. Police who inspected the victim's house found several items related to drugs. The victim died of head injuries and her body was sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for post-mortem.
