Early detection system to curb disciplinary issues among military personnel

The Defence Ministry (Mindef) will set up an early detection system to detect and guide personnel with disciplinary problems.
Ministry Secretary-general Datuk Seri Abdul Rahim Mohamad Radzi said, once the system was operational, it was hoped it could reduce disciplinary cases within the ministry, with less personnel having to face disciplinary action, especially dismissal.
He said the system would be set up through a coordinator committee which would be appointed, adding that currently, the issue of discipline was being monitored by among others, administrative officers.
He was speaking to reporters at the state 'Jasamu Dikenang' programme to honour 39 retirees of the state Mindef here Friday.
During the event, Abdul Rahim also handed over Excellence Service Awards to 64 personnel.
